You don't have to follow the market yourself if you don't have the time or ability. Investment decisions are made by our portfolio managers, who monitor the market and the performance of our funds on an ongoing basis.
Any athlete who earns more than €9 600 a year from sport can invest in the Athletes' Fund. A maximum of 50% of the annual income from sport can be transferred tax-free to the fund, up to a maximum of €200 000 per year. Withdrawals from the fund can be made between 2 and 15 years after the end of the sporting career, at the pace of the individual's choice and at the current rate of income tax.
Sports fund management in Finland offers an exceptional opportunity to combine tax-advantaged treatment with the compounded interest effect, which we encourage athletes to participate in from an early age.
When you subscribe to the Sports fund, the fundable part is transferred from your salary to a monthly subscription account in accordance with the investment plan, from which the funds are subscribed to four times a year.
The HCP Net Fund is open to any athlete, regardless of the country of residence (excluding North America)* where they play professionally. In many European countries, athletes' salaries are paid "net", with the club paying the tax. Alternatively, the player pays the taxes himself in his country of legal residence. Unlike the Sports Fund for players in Finland, there is no annual investment limit within the Net Fund. This makes it possible to fund even larger amounts.
